Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Amman
On arrival in Amman you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 : Amman & Jerash
Morning orientation tour of Amman before visiting Jerash. Jerash is the best-preserved Roman city of the Decapolis. View the Oval Plaza, Temple of Zeus, South Theatre, Colonnaded Street and Market Place. Continue to the castle of Qal’at al-Rabad at Aljoun before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 : Amman > Desert Castles > Amman
Today visit the desert castles which are scattered through the desert east of Amman. These isolated trading complexes were once a thriving group of caravan stations, secluded baths and hunting lodges. Then visit the Amman Citadel, a historic site offering breathtaking panoramic views of downtown Amman. This location beautifully captures the charm of Amman’s old streets and holds deep historical significance, crowned by impressive Roman ruins. The Roman Theatre of Amman is a 6,000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theatre. A famous landmark in the Jordanian capital, it dates back to the Roman period when the city was known as Philadelphia
Day 4 : Amman > Madaba > Petra
Today you journey to Madaba, known as the Queen of Mosaic, where history comes alive. You’ll stand where Moses once did, gazing over the Promised Land. The panoramic view from Mt. Nebo is truly breathtaking. Afterward, visit the largest Crusader castle in Karak.
Day 5 : Petra
This morning explore Petra, the unique city renowned for its stunning architecture and advanced water systems, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll stroll through the Siq until you reach the awe-inspiring Treasury, the grand entrance to the ancient Nabatean city. Then venture further into the city, taking in the amphitheaters, caves, and tombs. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to explore on your own and satisfy your sense of adventure.
Day 6 : Petra > Wadi Rum
Begin the day with a drive to Little Petra, just north of Petra. This Nabataean site was built during the height influence in the 1st century C.E with buildings carved into the walls of the sandstone canyons. Continue to Wadi Rum, where you’ll embark on a guided 4×4 Jeep tour through the desert landscape. Afterward, enjoy a traditional dinner before settling in for the night at a Bedouin camp, where you can gaze at the brilliant stars and experience the tranquility of the desert.
Day 7 : Wadi Rum > Dana Biosphere Reserve
Depart early for the Dana Biosphere Reserve. Taking the White Dome Trail, walk approximately 8km, taking 3-4 hours depending on your personal walking pace. This trail route contours the huge escarpments between Wadi Dana, Rummana Camp and Dana Village. Along the trail you will pass through the terraced gardens of the villages and enjoy some of the 600 species of plants, 37 species of mammals and 190 species of birds to be found in the park.
Day 8 : Dana > Amman
Return this morning for a walk through the beautiful Dana Biosphere Reserve, then drive to Amman.
