Croatia Tours
Croatia is a country of more than 1,000 islands, a long and sunny coastline and a rich history.
A visit to Croatia is a treat for the senses, with each region showing a new face, from unspoilt islands to Roman ruins and sprawling vineyards. Walk the walls of Dubrovnik's Old Town, take an island-hopping yacht cruise in turquoise waters, or delve into the ancient history which can be discovered around every corner.

Located in southern Croatia, Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive walled Old Town, well-preserved buildings and baroque architecture and paved pedestrian streets with fantastic dining options.
Hvar
Known for its relaxation and endless hours of sunshine. Relax on the stunning beaches, wonder the fields of lavender and discover historical landmarks
Korcula
The birthplace of Marco Polo and nicknamed a “mini-Dubrovnik” because its Old Town is similar with stone houses and pretty orange roofs. The island is scattered with pretty beaches, dense forest and secluded towns.
Brac
The largest island in Dalmatia and easy to reach from the mainland. Known for its fishing and agricultural products with locals producing good wine, olive oil, figs and nectarines. It also famed for the white-pebble beach of Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn).
Mljet
Croatia’s greenest island with around two-thirds covered by forest, with the western part a National Park.
Croatia can be visited all year round but our favourite months are April – June and September/October.
My affinity with the sea is matched only by my affinity with lying around in the sun, swimming in crystal clear waters, and sipping coffee at sidewalk cafes in picturesque Adriatic villages – I was bound to love Croatia! I spent an incredible week aboard a traditional sailing ship, weaving in and around the gorgeous islands and coast line of southern Croatia. Days were spent sunning ourselves on the deck, reading, relaxing, and swimming when the heat of the day hit. We would pull in to a different island each day, into picture perfect whitewashed villages with terracotta roofs, olive groves and vineyards on rocky landscapes. Simple, but good, food could be had in the local tavernas in the evening, where locally produced wines and equally fruity local characters made for a fantastic and authentic atmosphere, feeling totally immersed in the experience. On the bigger islands you can find absolutely ancient walled cities just oozing with history. The island of Korcula was a favourite. Allegedly the birthplace of Marco Polo, the old walled town is a veritable history book with a strong arts and culture heritage. I will return!

Why we love it Azure, turquoise, aquamarine, royal…never have I seen so many shades of blue than in the Adriatic. Add to that small villages of white washed houses and terracotta roofs, olive groves and vineyards on rocky landscapes, hundreds of picture perfect islands, and ancient walled cities oozing with history, and you have why we love Croatia.
Weather Croatia is best visited during April and October – months which are generally dry and warm. July & August can be quite hot during the day but pleasant at night.
Festivals and events Two of the best are the Rijeka Carnival and the Dubrovnik Carnival, where the streets absolutely come alive.
Thousands of visitors come to Croatia for the celebration of the Rijeka Carnival which goes back years. They come for the ‘ugly masks’ reputed to chase away demons and evil spirits, the street parties, a famous International Parade with participants representing countries around the world, a Children’s Parade, and large-scale eating and drinking. The celebration begins on January 17 and runs for five weeks.
Closely followed by the Dubrovnik Carnival celebrated every February in Croatia for the last 600 years in the heart of Dubrovnik. You will see locals in fabulous costumes or futuristic get-ups, riders in medieval armor carrying lances, street theatre performers and bands.
