Itinerary
Days 1 – 2 : Dublin
Stay in the luxurious Brooks Hotel only a stone’s throw away from St Stephens Green and Grafton Street. Of all the things to experience in Dublin, a trip to the Guinness Storehouse and Factory is at the top of everyone’s list. But Dublin isn’t just famous for a pint of the black stuff, some of the world’s most famous writers and poets were born in Dublin and there are numerous walking tours available that will allow you to capture the thoughts of some of these writers.
You can visit the Irish Emigration Museum, a state-of-the-art interactive experience located in the beautiful vaults of the 1820 Custom House Quarter building in Dublin’s Docklands. This was the original departure point for so many of Ireland’s emigrants. It will inspire and guide you on a journey to discover the stories of Irish emigration around the world, from early times to the modern day.
Day 3 : Dublin > Galway
Drive to Galway, a picturesque and lively city with a wonderful culture and architecture. Stroll through shops, cafes and art galleries. Stop at one of the traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music.
Day 4 : Galway > Connemara National Park > Galway
Today discover the wilderness of Connemara, considered the most romantic part of Ireland. Enjoy the Connemara National Park and its picturesque landscape with swamps, moors and heaths. After spending time in nature, drive back to Galway for your overnight.
Day 5 : Galway > Burren > Kerry
This morning drive to Kerry, via Burren, a geological wonder with over 2000 plants and rare flowers. See the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Continue your journey by crossing the River Shannon by ferry and arriving in Kerry for you overnight.
Kerry is known for its pockets of Irish-languange speakers and striking terrain.
