The largest private nature reserve in Southern Africa, the NamibRand Nature Reserve consists of 180,000 hectares of this unspoiled desert wilderness.
Itinerary
Days 1 – 3 : Sossusvlei
Transfer to andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, where ten air-conditioned stone and glass desert villas are cradled against ancient mountains and designed to capture the splendour and solitude of the desert. Furnished in hues of the desert, they feature a private veranda, split-level bedroom, living room with fireplace, ensuite glass-encased bathroom and outdoor shower. Villas are also equipped with a stargazing skylight, discrete music system and well-stocked personal bar.
Activities available include: One morning Sossusvlei excursion, living dunes experience, desert people experience, desert rock experience, desert drive, Big Dune walk, stargazing and self-exploration e-biking and hiking.
Escape the desert heat with a revitalising midday dip in the pool, fed by water from an underground spring. At sunset, animals are drawn to a nearby waterhole, enhancing desert sundowner drinks. A fine selection of wines from an impressive walk-in wine cellar complements the delicious meals.
Day 4 : Sossusvlei
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your onward flight where arrangements conclude.
