Your camps will move with you to ensure the very best wildlife experience possible!
Itinerary
Day 1 : Mfuwe > South Luangwa National Park
Arrive Mfuwe and transfer through colourful local scenes of villages, agriculture and bush to Nkwali Camp, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park plains. Evening game drive from camp.
Day 2 : South Luangwa
Start with a 90 km drive to the Mupamadzi River to the mobile camp. The camp is already set up with well-equipped walk-in tents. Relax around the camp then head off for an afternoon walk.
Day 3 : South Luangwa
Up early for the morning walk in the remote and wild terrain experiencing everything from ants to buffalo. You will learn the many nuances and aspects of the bush from your expert guide. The mobile camp is packed up and moved to its new location, awaiting your arrival. Siesta and sundowners when you reach your next destination.
Days 4 – 6 : South Luangwa
Explore the area on foot and on Day 5 the camp will be moved again as you walk further down the Mupamadzi River, a major tributary of the Luangwa River. All walks are led by an experienced naturalist and accompanied by an armed game scout.
Day 7 : South Luangwa
After an early breakfast, drive 4 to 5 hours to the Luangwa River crossing point, thereafter a 20-minute drive to camp. Overnight at either Nsefu Camp or Tena Tena Camp (exact camp depends on departure) and refresh after your mobile walking safari.
Day 8 : South Luangwa > Mfuwe
You will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for your onward flights.
