The villa was built on the ancient road Via Francigena, connecting France and Switzerland to Rome, during the Middle-age.

About Your Stay
This villa was once the residence of the Alberti Contes until the end of the 17th century after which it was transformed into a “signorile” villa. Traces of the original 13th century fortified castle are still discernible in the square brick tower and the defensive walls alongside the villa. The recent restoration of the villa has brought back to life the ancient splendor of this residence, enriching it with all the modern comforts
A staircase leads down to the swimming pool, with external shower, surrounded by lawn and a covered walkaway (or arcaded loggia). The property also includes a lemon conservatory that has been converted into a sitting room, with six arched windows offering sweeping views of the surrounding countryside and it is situated next to a consecrated chapel of the 13th century.
