Okavango & The Linyanti

Days 1 – 4 : Maun > Okavango Delta

Fly from Maun by light aircraft into the Okavango Delta. Spend four nights at 2 different Wilderness Camps in the Delta – Kwetsani Camp and Qorokwe Camp. Upgrade options are available.

Spend your time exploring magical waterways by mokoro (dugout canoe), motorised boats and customized 4×4 vehicles. Get closer to thrilling wildlife encounters on morning or afternoon game drives. Learn about other cultures and gaze in awe at some of the world’s greatest wonders.

Kwetsani Camp: On a palm-fringed island in the stunning Jao Reserve, Kwetsani invites you in with five distinctively designed treehouse suites, tucked into the mangosteen and fig trees. Beautifully crafted in canvas, wood, and glass, each safari suite provides an elegant home away from home, with an exquisitely furnished bedroom and lounge. Explore the wetlands by boat or traditional mokoro. Here hippos and crocs dwell, and red lechwe and rare sitatunga leap across the channels. Keep a keen eye out for plains game such as giraffes, wildebeest, zebras and impalas, plus, of course, their predators.

Qorokwe Camp: Qorokwe Camp has eight rooms with tented suites and indoor showers. In addition, its extra-spacious family unit has its own splash pool. The wonderful open dining and lounge area and bar are set on a raised deck, connected to the suites by walkways. Bordering the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, famous for intense predator-prey encounters. Prepare for thrilling game drives tracking leopards in the wild. Spot a lioness hunting alone, closely watched by a pack of skulking hyenas, as the air vibrates with birdsong.

Days 5 – 7 : Okavango Delta > Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

Light aircraft transfer to Savuti Camp in the Linyanti for three nights. Activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, boating, fishing, bird watching, viewing game from special “hides” in the bush and walking safaris.

Savuti Camp: Six spacious ensuite tents are perfectly positioned to take in the view over the Savuti Channel, which sporadically flows past camp. Spend quiet, peaceful hours in the hide and watch the wildlife drama unfold before your eyes. Savuti means ‘mystery’ – a fitting name for this wild and unpredictable landscape that has attracted travellers and explorers for years. Its ever-changing environment supports a remarkable variety of wildlife, from vast herds of antelope to the predators that follow.

Day 8 : Linyanti > Maun

Light aircraft transfer to Maun where arrangements conclude.
