Introduction
From wildlife spotting to nature walks, cultural excursions to sunset boat cruises, there is something for everyone on our adventure-packed family safari circuit – perfect for multi-generational travel.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Maun > Linyanti Wildlife Reserve
Light aircraft flight to Linyanti Airstrip where you will be collected and transfer with your guide to camp, looking out for any wildlife en route! Spend three nights at Linyanti Ebony Camp.
Days 2 & 3 : Linyanti Wildlife Reserve
Built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh, the camp offers stunning views of the Linyanti River and many exhilarating ways to explore the beauty of the area. From game drives to a helicopter flight of the river, Linyanti is a rich yet diverse ecosystem with plentiful wildlife.
Day 4 : Linyanti > Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
Light aircraft flight to Kasane, where you are transferred by road to Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Thorntree River Lodge is just a short distance to the mighty Victoria Falls and offers an exciting morning of rhino trekking, and afternoons canoeing or fishing on the Zambezi River, as well as of course visiting the Victoria Falls.
Day 5 : Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
Activities include guided walking safaris, game drives, canoeing, catch and release fishing and boat cruises on a secluded section of the Zambezi River all led by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you.
Day 6 : Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park > Hwange National Park
Transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport and fly to Hwange National Park, being collected, and transferred to Somalisa Acacia Camp. This family safari camp is located on a seasonal floodplain on a private concession in Hwange, tucked away beneath the dappled shade of an Acacia grove. A place where meeting an elephant in your backyard is not at all a fanciful notion!
Days 7 & 8 : Hwange National Park
Activities include guided walking safaris, game drives and cultural visits. Along with elephants that frequently visit the camp’s elephant pool, keep a lookout for cheetah, zebra, hippos and giraffe that may saunter into view.
Day 9 : Hwange National Park > Lake Kariba
Transfer to Manga Airstrip for your flight to Lake Kariba, where you spend the last two nights of your adventure at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. The lodge has an enviable position overlooking the eternal shimmering waters of Lake Kariba.
Day 10 : Lake Kariba
As well as enjoying time around the resort and pool, activities include guided walking safaris, stargazing, boating and fishing, sunset cruises, birding, game drives and cultural visits to the nearby local community.
Day 11 : Lake Kariba > Harare
Depart Kariba on your flight to Harare to connect onto your international flight.
