Over 125 years ago, this route united Canada. Between the Pacific coast and Banff or Lake Louise, you'll see rugged mountains and unspoiled wilderness virtually unchanged for millennia. Travel through the legendary Spiral Tunnels, traverse the Continental Divide, and be inspired as you wind through mountain passes and dramatic canyons.
Travel past ethereal lakes, jagged mountain peaks and raging rivers as you travel towards the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley and Vancouver's sparkling coastline. From Vancouver, you'll travel by ferry to the beautiful island city of Victoria for an overnight excursion in British Columbia's capital city.
The Train: Rocky Mountaineer offers two levels of service - SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf. Both come with friendly hosts, gourmet breakfasts and lunches, and endlessly amazing views.

Day 1: Vancouver Arrive in Vancouver and enjoy time at leisure to explore this cosmopolitan city on the edge of nature.
Day 2: Vancouver > Victoria Today depart by scenic seaplane from Vancouver Harbour to Victoria. The remainder of your day is free at leisure. Take a whale-watching tour or experience high tea at the Fairmont Empress.
Day 3: Victoria Travel by motorcoach on a scenic drive to Victoria's premier attraction, Butchart Gardens. Be enchanted by the beautiful sights and scents of this 55-acre floral garden, a National Historic Site of Canada. In the afternoon, return by motorcoach transfer to Victoria, where you are free to explore on your own.
Day 4: Victoria > Vancouver Depart this morning on a scenic flight over the Strait of Georgia from Victoria's Inner Harbour right into downtown Vancouver. Highlights include aerial views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands, the Cascade, Olympic and North Shore Mountains, and Vancouver's Stanley Park. You are free to explore Vancouver for the remainder of the day.
Day 5: Vancouver Explore Vancouver and enjoy your choice of one of four activities: a sightseeing tour of the city's spectacular North Shore, a guided bicycle tour of Vancouver's highlights, a small-group culinary walking tour at Granville Island market, or a Sea Safari zodiac boat tour along the Howe Sound coast.
Day 6: Vancouver > Kamloops Board the Rocky Mountaineer and journey through the farmlands of the Fraser Valley. From fertile greenery the landscape transforms to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains. After the mighty Fraser River and the raging white waters of Hell's Gate, the landscape undergoes another transformation into scrub brush and desert. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into the city of Kamloops.
Day 7: Kamloops > Banff Continuing east along the South Thompson River and witness historic Craigellachie. This spot marks where the Last Spike was driven home on the Canadian Pacific Railway line, uniting the nation. Gaze in wonder at cascading waterfalls and icy glaciers spilling over the lips of the peaks above on your way to the charming alpine town of Banff and the brilliant waters of Lake Louise.
Day 8: Banff A half-day motorcoach tour takes you from Banff into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning Kicking Horse River. Return to Banff in the afternoon for time at leisure.
Day 9: Banff > Calgary Begin the morning with a motorcoach sightseeing tour of Banff. Continue on to Kananaskis for a 12-minute panoramic helicopter tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies before transferring to Calgary.
Day 10: Calgary Arrangements end after check-out this morning.
