Start in Quito before departing on a four-day immersion into the Andean World. Travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes to Cuenca, with visits to centuries old haciendas and discover the local culture, history, Andean flavours, traditions and legends of the ancestral people. A highlight will be riding the refurbished 100 year old train on the switchbacks of the famous Devil's Nose railway.
Day 1: Quito You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Quito Panoramic tour of Old and New Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage city.
Day 3: Quito > Cotopaxi National Park Scenic drive through the 'Avenue of the Volcanoes' and overnight in a 300-year-old hacienda.
Day 4: Banos > Riobamba Visit charming Banos, famous for its thermal baths and views of Chimborazo Volcano.
Day 5: Riobamba > Cuenca Enjoy great scenery today and highlights include Indian village visits, the Inca fortress at Ingapirca and riding the famous 'Devils Nose' switchback railway.
Day 6: Cuenca Sightseeing of this lovely World Heritage listed town including a panama hat making demonstration.
Day 7: Cuenca > Guayaquil Enjoy a very scenic half day transfer by private car to Guayaquil.
Day 8: Guayaquil Transfer to the airport.
