Discover the wild nature of the Amazon rainforest with its unique flora and fauna. Spend your days admiring sunrises where thousands of birds come out of hiding or on fishing expeditions to catch one of the many species of piranha found in the river, and hand-feed the inquisitive squirrel monkeys. You'll cruise in comfort and style, on board the M/V Desafio, a three-masted sailing ship which carries just 24 passengers.
Day 1: Depart Manaus You will be met and transferred to the Tropical Hotel to board your ship in the afternoon. Set off on the Amazon river and settle into your cabin. After dinner enjoy a canoe excursion to spot nocturnal creatures.
Days 2 & 3 Enjoy a jungle excursion to observe the local flora and visit an Indian village. Afternoon excursion by canoe and some trekking in the jungle (depending on water levels). Interact with the famous pink river dolphin, then sail to the 'Meeting of the Waters' where the black water of the River Negro meets the brown water of the River Solimoes. Afterwards, try your hand at piranha fishing.
Day 4: Manaus See the world's largest water lilies before you disembark and transfer to the airport.
