There's simply no other word that convincingly captures the enigma that is India. From mystical temples to feisty festivals, snow-dusted mountains to sun-washed beaches, it's hardly surprising that India has been dubbed the world's most multidimensional country. Capture India's finest colours, from traditional rickshaw rides through narrow bazaars, to desert safaris and camping, to thrilling wildlife and tiger encounters in Ranthambhore National Park.

Day 1: Delhi You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon tour visiting Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and the Red Fort.

Day 2: Delhi > Agra Drive to Agra and later this afternoon visit magnificent Agra Fort. End the day with sunset views of the iconic Taj Mahal from the Moonlit Garden of Mehtab Bagh.

Day 3; Agra > Jaipur Start the day with the sunrise over the Taj Mahal. Return to the hotel for breakfast before driving to Jaipur with a stop at the secret Stepwell of Chand Baori at Abhaneri. Later this afternoon watch the sun set over the water palace of Jai Mahal in Man Sagar Lake.

Day 4: Jaipur > Jaisalmer Visit Amber Fort and view the mirror palace Sheesh Mahal and Royal Courtyards inside. Continue to the Maharaja's City Palace and Museum as well as Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory. A cooking class for lunch will give you some hands on experience with ethnic Indian food. This afternoon, choose between visiting an elephant care farm when you can feed and bathe elephants in a safe environment or visit the local bazaar and a photo stop outside Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds before enjoying the colour and chaos of a Bollywood blockbuster at a local cinema this evening. Overnight train to Jaisalmer.

Day 5: Jaisalmer Enjoy a city tour visiting Jaisalmer Fort. Rising from the sands, it merges with the sand dunes resembling a giant anthill. Later visit Patwon Ki Haveli, the mansion of brocade merchants.

Day 6: Camel Safari Head a short way from Jaisalmer for a Camel Safari, visiting Bada Bagh en route. A special overnight experience tonight as you stay in a tented desert camp.

Day 7: Camel Safari Enjoy a second Camel Safari with sightseeing in Kala and Manpia. Stay another night at a tented desert camp.

Day 8: Jaisalmer > Rohet Drive to Rohet via Moolsager. Enjoy an evening jeep safari to Bishnoi Village.

Day 9: Rohet > Kumbhalgarh Drive to Kumbhalgarh and visit Kumbhalgarh Fort and Museum. Accompanied by a trekking guide, hike to local villages and see the locals. You will encounter various native tribes such as the Bhil Tribe, one of the oldest indigenous tribes in India, and the old warrior clan, The Rajputs.

Day 10: Kumbhalgarh > Khempur Drive to Khempur, the site of the 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'. Enjoy high tea and overnight in the hotel.

Day 11: Khempur > Udaipur A leisurely start before your drive to Udaipur. Later this afternoon spice and vegetable bazaar to purchase ingredients for a cooking class and tasting with a local family.

Day 12: Udaipur Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Royal Garden of Maidens at Sahelion Ki Bari and local bazaar. A sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola will be followed by a tuk tuk ride to experience Rajasthani folk dances and puppetry at the gracious 18th century Bagore Ki Haveli.

Day 13: Udaipur > Bijapur Travel via the ruined Chittogarh Fort to Bijapur and this afternoon visit local villages by horse safari.

Day 14: Bijapur > Ranthambore Drive to Ranthambore with a stop at Haveli Braj Bushanjee for a rooftop view of Bundi Palace.

Day 15: Ranthambore Join morning and afternoon jeep safaris inside the National Park. Hopefully catch a glimpse of tiger, striped hyena, jungle cat, bear, wild boar and more.

Day 16: Ranthambore > Delhi Early transfer to the station for the train journey to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the airport.
