Follow in the footsteps of Kings and Presidents when you travel on the famous Blue Train from the Jacaranda city of Pretoria travelling overnight to Cape Town. Be embraced by the "Mother City" and the historical Cape Winelands, before heading to the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei. After a taste of Namibia, head to a private game reserve in the Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park for some wildlife action! Witness the breathtaking plunge of Victoria Falls and the elephants of Chobe National Park before ending the journey in the incredible Okavango Delta - one of the world's most renowned natural wonders.
On this journey you will enjoy the following special experiences: • Sundowners on the dunes of Namib National Park After a day of exploring the Sossusvlei sands by fourwheel drive, we'll enjoy sundowners under the incredible Namibian night sky.
• Enjoy Cape Town's exquisite 'Gold' restaurant Visit this wonderful traditional restaurant to enjoy an interactive Djembe drumming session. We'll also have a 14 course set menu with cuisine from the Cape Malay kitchen, complete with some well-loved traditional African inspired dishes.

Day 1: Auckland > Perth > Johannesburg Midday flight to Johannesburg via Perth.
Day 2: Johannesburg > Pretoria On arrival in Johannesburg, we will be transferred to Pretoria. Visit the Nelson Mandela statue and Union Buildings.
Day 3: Pretoria > Cape Town (B,L,D) Board the luxurious Blue Train, a magnificent '5 star hotel on wheels'. Unwind and relax while soaking up the scenery and history of this famous route.
Day 4: Cape Town (B) Upon arrival transfer to our hotel at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. This evening we will walk around the waterfront, an original Victorian harbour packed full of restaurants, shops and monuments.
Day 5: Cape Town (B,L) Full day excursion in the Cape Winelands, including the charming towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, meaning "French Corner". Enjoy wine tastings and lunch against a backdrop of majestic mountains and gorgeous vineyards.
Day 6: Cape Town (B,D) Morning excursion by ferry to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. Local guides are former political prisoners and provide a rich dialogue of human spirit over adversity. After lunch at leisure, take the cable car (weather permitting) up iconic Table Mountain to see the magnificent city views. This evening visit 'Gold' a very special restaurant serving traditional African inspired dishes.
Day 7: Cape Town > Sossusvlei (B,L,D) Fly to Windhoek, Namibia and continue by light aircraft to Sossusvlei in the Namibrand Nature Reserve. We spend three nights at a fabulous luxury desert lodge. Our accommodation is only outshone by the picture perfect vistas outside with stony outcrops, awe-inspiring dunes and endless horizons.
Day 8 & 9: Sossusvlei (B,L,D) The famous sand dunes of Sossusvlei are the highlight of the Namib and a photographer's dream! Take a 4WD into the dunes, some of which are over 300m high. Visit Sesriem and the Dead Vlei, one of the most photographed spots in Namibia. Optional quad biking before sundowners to toast the incredible Namibian night sky.
Day 10: Sossusvlei > Kruger National Park (B,D) Return by light aircraft to Windhoek for our onward flights to Kruger (via Johannesburg). In the evening, arrive at Kirkman's Kamp, a 1920s South African homestead, with charming suites overlooking the bushveld.
Day 11 & 12: Kruger National Park (B,L,D) The Sabi Sands area of Kruger National Park is renowned for its array of wildlife. Enjoy twice-daily safaris with experienced rangers to search out lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe and more. A private reserve allows the opportunity to get off-road to see the Big Five, as well as evening game viewing when nocturnal animals are about.
Day 13: Kruger > Victoria Falls (B) Fly to Victoria Falls and we spend two nights at the legendary Victoria Falls Hotel. Enjoy a cocktail this evening on Stanley's Terrace where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Victoria Falls Bridge and witness the spray of the Falls nearby.
Day 14: Victoria Falls (B) Morning tour of the Falls - known as the "smoke that thunders" - a simply spectacular sight! We'll enjoy an early evening sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, with a chance to spot crocodiles, pods of hippo and herds of elephant bathing in the river.
Day 15: Victoria Falls > Chobe National Park (B,D) After breakfast we are transferred to Chobe, famed for its elephant population. Spend two nights at our tented safari lodge in the Kasane Forest Reserve. A waterhole at the lodge provides an almost endless procession of animals. Relax in comfort in your custom built Meru-style luxury safari tent with en-suite.
Day 16: Chobe National Park (B,L,D) Take a morning boat cruise along the Chobe River where you may spot elephants. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive to experience the sights and sounds of both the Chobe National Park and Kasane Forest Reserve.
Day 17: Chobe > Okavango Delta (B,L,D) We transfer the short distance to Kasane Airport for our light aircraft transfer to the Okavango Delta. Experience three nights in this wonderful area of Botswana, where you will discover a water and wildlife adventure between the lagoons and channels of the Delta and Okavango floodplains.
Day 18 & 19: Okavango Delta (B,L,D) Explore the wilderness on morning and evening safaris, bush walks, mokoro (dugout canoe) and powerboat cruises. Many interesting species can be found here such as lechwe and sitatunga, along with the exciting sightings of wild dogs, lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe and an incredible number of bird species - the Okavango is a haven for birding enthusiasts.
Day 20: Maun > Johannesburg > Perth (B) A short light aircraft transfer to Maun, where we check-in for our homeward flights connecting at Johannesburg and Perth.
Day 21: Perth > Auckland Transit in Perth before our evening flight to Auckland.
Day 22: Auckland Morning arrival to Auckland.
