Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D) Transfer to your hotel by private car. (The regular check-in time for all hotels is 2.00 pm. Early check-in is not included).

This afternoon wind down and indulge in the city's best spa followed by a Vietnamese dinner with a French touch in one of Hanoi's most charming restaurants housed in a beautiful villa.

Dinner is served at Club De L'Oriental Restaurant.

Day 2: Hanoi (B,D) After breakfast depart for an insider's tour of the capital. Start with tour of the Long Bien Bridge (originally named Doumer Bridge) which was built in 1902 by Sir Gustave Eiffel with specialist guide Douglas Jardine. Born in Connecticut in the United States, Historian Douglas Jardine has lived in Hanoi for 4-years and is a Professor of History at Hanoi University. He is endlessly fascinated with the beauty of Hanoi where he spends time researching history, art, architecture as well as social studies. Take a walking tour of this fascinating structure to learn more on how this bridge helped shape Hanoi's future.

From Long Bien, drive by vehicle to the capital's Old Quarter. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you. It is here in this area that lies the soul of the city, one the most ancient capitals of Southeast Asia. A mixture of village and old way of life amidst a modern and growing city offer amazing contrasts. Continue to the Temple of Literature. In 1076 Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's first university, also referred to as Van Mieu, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for an incredible 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam's past. For sunset continue to West Lake and one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, Tran Quoc. The romantic Than Nhien causeway where the pagoda and temple are situated makes an excellent backdrop for photographs.

Located in a quiet lane is the home of a musician couple. The husband is a flutist in the National Orchestra while the wife is a piano teacher. Enjoy the meal hosted in the cozy dining room to understand the important role meals at home play in Vietnam. Chat and share with them life experiences through their lovely family photo album. After the meal, enjoy a melodious performance of flute and piano entertained by the hosts themselves.

Day 3: Hanoi > Halong Bay (B, L, D) Embark on a 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay with a quick rest stop at Hong Ngoc Center - the best place to stop and stretch your legs en route. On arrival in Halong Bay, board your deluxe junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on deck. Mid-afternoon you will visit the mysterious atmosphere of Tien Ong cave, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, then continue to the Cua Van fishing village, the largest community on the bay. This will allow a closer look into the lives of local fishermen before you transfer to a bamboo boat and are rowed slowly through the village with a museum and a school among floating houses. Back to the boat, a cooking class is offered with the chef if you are interested. Or enjoy sunset cocktails and canapes on the top deck before served wonderful dinner on board tonight.

Day 4: Halong Bay > Hanoi > Danang > Hoi An (B,L) Wake up early and partake in a Tai Chi class which is held on the upper deck. Visit Soi Sim Island, here you can relax in azure water of Halong Bay or enjoy over 200 steps to the up top for panoramic view of the whole bay. Back to the boat for boarding towards the shore while brunch is served. Prepare your luggage and hand your key to the reception for check out. Upon disembarkation your driver will meet you for the transfer to Noi Bai Airport for the flight to Danang.

En route visit Thanh Chuong Palace, the home and studio of Thanh Chuong who is one of the most celebrated painters in Vietnam today is an architectural gem showcasing Vietnamese traditional cultural objects and structures. A living space rather than a museum which showcases Vietnamese archaeology, art, history and other culture values. Enjoy lunch here before exploring the monuments at this fascinating museum.

Transfer to airport for flight to Danang. On arrival, welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An Walking Tour (B,L) Between the 17th and 19th centuries, Hoi An was a prosperous trading port. Today, this World Heritage-listed ancient town boasts well-preserved buildings, pedestrianized streets and unique cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. The narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour. There is plenty to visit including the old merchant's houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with outstanding wood carvings; and the colourful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two.

Lantern, the simple yet colourful item is now an essential part of Hoi An culture. The lantern is inspired and hand-made by local artisans and is meant to bring good fortune. It is really made a comeback by an experienced artisan - Mr. Huynh Van Ba who is now in his 80's. Engage in a casual talk to him for a brief introduction to the history, shape, and coluor of the lanterns as well as the stages of production. Try creating your own lantern and take it home as a souvenir.

Day 6: Hoi An Biking Tour (B,L) After breakfast, start cycling along the Thu Bon River where you have a chance to take photographs of many fishing boats and small houses. Continue biking through Thuan Tinh Ecological village and take the opportunity to see areca-nut gardens, family shrines and local villagers going about daily life. Continue cycling along quiet inland trails, past water-coconut palm trees, fishing farms and rice paddies to reach Cua Dai Beach. Cam An is a local fishing village with charming ocean views, many kumquat gardens and corn fields. On your return to Hoi An town, you may wish to stop by Tra Que village where many farmers cultivate herbs and vegetables. Help water the plants or fertilise the land if you have no problem getting your hands dirty. Cycle back to your hotel.

Day 7: Hoi An > Danang > Nha Trang (B) Transfer to the airport for your flight to Nha Trang. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free time at leisure.

Day 10: Nha Trang > Saigon (B,L) Transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon.

Despite all the hustle and bustle, Saigon retains its connections with the past. Today, discover the real Saigon like a local on the back of an old style vintage Vespa. Enjoy a ride behind your driver passing by the city's historic landmarks including the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. Cruising further, head to China town to visit Francis Xavier Church and the Thien Hau pagoda. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant before return to hotel and spend the rest of the day is free time at leisure.

Day 11: Saigon > Ben Tre > An Hoi > My Tho > Cho Lach (B,L,D) At 8.00 am, depart for a 1.5 hour drive from Saigon to Ben Tre, situated in the Delta of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, you will board your Mango cruise boat at Mango Pier and head to An Hoa canals. Upon boarding your private sampan, your luggage will be brought to your cabin, while you enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck while meeting your crew members and enjoying the scenery and fresh air from the water.

The cruise will take you to Phong Nam village in Giong Trom, where you will take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals, which are covered green by the water coconut plants. Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Visit the rice noodle factory before starting your bike trip around the village. Then return to your boat to enjoy the lunch before continuing to cruise to Thoi Loc village, Cho Lach District. On the way we will stop for a visit at the floating fish farm and experience the local river culture. Day 12: Tra On > Cai Rang > Can Tho > Phu Quoc (B) Get up early in the morning to visit Tra On floating market before heading to Can Tho. Stop at the spectacular Cai Rang floating market, where you will transfer to a smaller boat and mingle amongst the thousands of trading vessels. Feel free to buy yourself fruits or drinks from the local boats. After the market visit, return to your Mango Cruise and you will then be dropped off at Ninh Kieu quay in Can Tho for your transfer to the airport.

Breakfast will be served on board while cruising towards the town of Cai Be. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a smaller boat to explore the lively floating Market and its bustling township. Enjoy the houses on stilts along the River bank and local business. Get back to your boat and prepare for to check out. Transfer to the Saigon Airport for your flight to Phu Quoc.

On arrival, transfer by La Veranda Resort shuttle to your hotel.

The remainder of the day is at leisure.
