A stay at The Tundra Buggy Lodge is the only way to experience the polar bears at Legendary Cape Churchill! This itinerary is intended for those interested in the ultimate bear viewing and photographing expedition. You'll spend 7 days on the tundra with a maximum of ten guests per 40-passenger Tundra Buggy.

The Tundra Buggy Lodge offers a one-of-a-kind expedition. As ice & trail conditions permit, the lodge will be disassembled for the 30-kilometer expedition to Cape Churchill inside Wapusk National Park. Guests will stay at the Tundra Buggy Lodge for eight incredible nights. Enjoy excursions to view and photograph wildlife during the day, and delicious home cooked meals and presentations in the evening. Cape Churchill guests will have plenty of time in the evenings to socialize, share photos and watch the night sky for the phenomenal northern lights.

Day 1: Winnipeg (D) Upon arrival into Winnipeg, please make your own way to your accommodation. This evening meet your Interpretive Guide and the rest of the tour group during a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Winnipeg > Churchill (B,L,D) Enjoy an early breakfast this morning before departing to the airport for your flight to Churchill. Upon arrival, we'll set out on a Churchill town and area tour. Your tour includes a drive in the area surrounding the town of Churchill, including historical Cape Merry; the site of a crashed airplane known by the locals as Miss Piggy. Continue onto the Manitoba Conservation's Polar Bear holding facility. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

The afternoon is at leisure to explore Churchill on your own.

Overnight in Churchill

Day 3: Churchill > Wapusk National Park (B,L,D) The fist day is spent travelling through Churchill Wildlife Management Area, searching out polar bears, arctic fox and hare and other northern wildlife. Your guide will talk about the geology and natural history of the area. In the late afternoon cross the Hudson Bay tidal flats and cross over into Wapusk National Park before arriving at the Tundra Buggy Lodge.

Day 4-10: Wapusk National Park (B,L,D) Your day starts before light to capture the beautiful tundra sunrise from the Tundra Buggy. At this time of the year the sun rises around 8:30 am and sets around 3:40 pm.
Enjoy a full-day Tundra Buggy excursion at Cape Churchill in Wapusk National Park.

**Day 11: Wapusk National Park > Churchill > Winnipeg (B,L,D) Full-day Tundra Buggy excursion heading back to the town of Churchill in late afternoon. Evening flight to Winnipeg. Check into Four Points by Sheraton hotel. Evening farewell dinner
