This family friendly journey is designed to ensure families see the best of Cape Town and enjoy a wonderful safari in the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Starting off in Cape Town, widely described as one of the world's most beautiful cities, you'll enjoy the city's picturesque Table Mountain and a combination of historical coastal charm and urbane sophistication. Then to the AndBeyond Ngala Private Game Reserve, home to all of the Big Five wildlife, but particularly known for its elephant, buffalo and rhino, as well as its packs of African wild dog. Leopard and cheetah are also often encountered.
Day 1 Cape Town On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by our local guide and transferred by private vehicle to your apartment. Enjoy four nights at the African Elite Waterfront Apartments in a 2 bedroom luxury apartment. Your stay includes breakfast packs each day. Set at Cape Town's renowned V&A Waterfront, innovative and stylish apartments are within easy walking distance of a plethora of restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Attractions such as Table Mountain, the pristine beaches of the Cape and the area's famed wine growing region are only a short taxi ride away. Clean, well-kept apartments are serviced daily, and a laundry and dry cleaning service is provided. Tourist information facilities and a dedicated concierge are on hand. While apartments are fully set up for self-catering, guests who do not wish to cook can call on the services of a private chef or explore the many restaurant venues within easy reach.
Day 2 Cape Town This morning you will be collected from your hotel for your private full day family Table Mountain & city tour. Explore the scenic city of Cape Town on a family adventure that begins with a ride on the revolving cable car up to the top of iconic Table Mountain. Marvel at spectacular views over the city and the entire Cape Peninsula as you stroll along its flat top or, if the weather is not favourable, explore the smaller peak known as Signal Hill. From here, travel to Company Gardens, set up in the 17th century as a fresh produce garden used to supply ships stopping in the harbour and now home to the SA Museum, Cultural History Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George's Cathedral.
Next, witness one of Cape Town's oldest traditions as you head up to Signal Hill for the firing of the noonday gun. From here, you will visit the traditional Malay Quarter, situated in the predominantly Muslim Bo-Kaap. Admire the area's brightly coloured houses, which date back as far as the 17th century and get a glimpse into one of the Cape's many vibrant cultures.
The day's adventure ends at the V&A Waterfront, with an opportunity to explore the Two Oceans Aquarium, which houses one of the best marine collections in the world. After your tour you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 3 Cape Town This morning you will be collected from your hotel for your private full day family Cape Point tour, including lunch. This full-day tour takes in the scenic highlights of the Cape Peninsula, including activities guaranteed to delight and entertain family members of all ages. Explore the warm sands of Clifton's four secluded beaches and browse the sidewalk cafés and bars of trendy Camp's Bay. The next stop is the spectacular coastal suburb of Hout Bay, a former fishing village with a long, sandy beach facing a bay framed by the mountains. If open, the tour will continue along the breath-taking Chapman's Peak Drive before stopping near Simon's Town, where children can enjoy the opportunity to hunt for a wide variety of polished gemstones in the Scratch Patch while adults shop for jewellery at Mineral World.
Just a little further we stop again to explore the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where you can choose to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before wandering the beachside paths and watching the antics of these charming creatures. We then head to Cape Point Reserve, where you can walk or take the funicular to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse, which boasts magnificent views over False Bay and the shoreline. Also within the reserve is the fabled Cape of Good Hope, the most south-western point of the African continent. The day ends at the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you are free to ramble along the wide paths, relax on the spreading lawns or even enjoy the spectacular aerial walkway through the treetops. After your tour you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 4 Cape Town - Cape Winelands This morning you will be collected from your hotel for your private full day family Cape Point & Winelands tour, including lunch.
Combine wine tasting for the adults with a range of activities designed to keep the children happy on this family tour of the picturesque Cape Winelands. Kick off the day at the Spice Route Winery, where you can indulge your taste buds with wine and beer tasting while younger guests sample the local chocolate and biltong. The next stop is Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm, where you will be taken on a tour of the crocodile ponds, which house more than a thousand of the reptiles. The day ends at Spier Wine Estate, where wine tasting is combined with a visit to the Eagle Encounter birds of prey rehabilitation centre.
Please note that the wine estates visited on this tour may be amended according to guests' preferences. After your tour you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 5 Cape Winelands At leisure. The farm has a beautiful dam, just a short bicycle ride through the vineyards where you are welcome to take the canoes out for a leisurely paddle. The hotel pool is also very unique, a restored farm reservoir and perfect for hot summer days. very morning at 8h00, there is a guided walk around the farm with one of the gardeners, who takes guests up to the koppie (hill), through the fynbos area and the vlei (wetland), on to the citrus orchards and back past the dam.
The farm is a paradise for children with resident geese, chickens (where they can collect eggs) and beloved donkeys, Meisiekind and Lulu. The donkeys live near to the Farm Shop and love nothing better than a snack of bread. We invite our young guests to help feed the donkeys and to help harvest fruit and vegetables from our gardens, especially for the breakfast table.
Day 6 Cape Winelands - Cape Town - Kruger National Park After check out you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Cape Town International Airport for your onward journey.

Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be met by a member of the AndBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge team and transferred with fellow guests to the lodge - a drive of approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
The magic and mystery of Africa come alive in the colonial ambiance of elegant AndBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge. A timeless, unhurried atmosphere, combined with the quaint traditions of a bygone era, creates an aura of romance and nostalgia. This old-world haven in the midst of the African bush charms with its colonial antiques, silver cutlery and crystal glassware. Style and grace mingle faultlessly with the rugged natural beauty of the setting, as manicured lawns give way to dense mopane thickets and wild animals saunter down to drink at the waterhole that forms the heart of this authentic safari lodge. The main thatched dining, bar and sitting areas are open to the African bushveld, and the large swimming pool looks out over a busy waterhole where elephants are frequently sighted. Delicious Pan-African cuisine is served in the candle- and lantern-lit courtyard or in the dramatic boma (outdoor dining area). Exceptional bush banqueting is enjoyed in spectacular settings in the African wilderness.
Day 7-8 Kruger National Park Enjoy time relaxing and partaking in safari activities. The "Big Five" game viewing drives are led by expert rangers and a Shangaan tracker in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Ngala offers both off-road and night game drives affording excellent sightings and photographic opportunities. Discover a host of interesting nocturnal animals on exhilarating, spotlit night game drives, or explore Ngala's intriguing fauna and flora on interactive bush walks led by an experienced ranger or expert Shangaan tracker. Guided bush walks bring you face-to-face with wild Africa at its best, allowing fascinating insights into the landscape, animal tracks and a host of interesting birds, reptiles, insects and tiny mammals.
Day 9 Kruger National Park - Hoedspruit You will be transferred with fellow guests to Hoedspruit Airport for your onward scheduled flights.
