Don’t try too many local foods in a short amount of time. On my northern Lao menu:
- Fermented sparrow
- Grilled pig’s ear
- Barbecued water rat
- Grilled bat
- Steamed wasp pupa
Thank goodness for the French. Back in Vientiane – coffee and croissant for breakfast!
